The Facility Features:
CEM Quarantine: The Southern Pines facility is a USDA-certified quarantine services
station for imported mares and stallions, and tests for Contagious
Equine Metritis (CEM). It is the only CEM quarantine facility in North Carolina. A one of few on the east coast.
Reproduction Services: offers equine infertility, embryo transfer, semen collection/freezing and
transport, artificial insemination, reproductive emergencies, and
reproductive surgery. Ophthalmology: diagnostic, surgical, and therapeutic services for eye disorders, to include cataract removal. Podiatry & Rehabilitation: assessment of difficult lameness and shoeing problems. Diagnostic Testing: assists other vets for testing. Equine Health Program & Educational Seminars: offers information and seminars on horse health.
